Dialogue 1 : Using Chopsticks
In a Chinese restaurant, they are having appetizers
after a waiter took their order.
Mr. Chang: Do you like Chinese food?
Mr. Becker: Yes, I always eat Chinese food when I
visit Taiwan and China.
Mr. Chang: Can you use chopsticks?
Mr. Becker: No. Can you teach me?
Ted: Hold the chopsticks in this way. Fix one
chopstick, and move the other with your point finger. Like this.
Mr. Becker: OK.
Ted: Can you try with the peanuts?
Mr. Becker: Yes. But how do you eat rice with
chopsticks?
Ted: Same. Like this.
Mr. Becker: Oh, I see. You pick up a chunk of rice,
not grain by grain.
Ted: Do you need a fork and a knife?
Mr. Becker: Yes, please.
Mr. Chang:
Mr. Becker:
Mr. Chang:
Mr. Becker:
Ted:
Mr. Becker: 好的。
Ted:
Mr. Becker:
Ted:
Ted:
Mr. Becker: 需要。
